Congrats on the doe. Hopefully one of those ladies will be towing a buck in for you guys.

This time of year I don't shoot does no matter what color the tarsals are. Just don't want to booger up the area with a running deer and tracking and dragging.

Matt alluded to it, but there were no worries here... he had a friendly "spotter" in his guide who not only showed him the tree to get in, but was watching the approach from over 400 yards away from a block of timber and counting down the minutes until he saw them... Let's just say we were absolutely sure there wasn't anything else trailing behind. It almost wasn't fair. [8D]

I hear ya! I had 11 does and fawns pass within 15 yards of my stand this morning but I just hated to shoot one. None were as big as that monster doe you took. Like Greg its from the same stand I took a doe from a few weeks ago.

If you look closely, you can see Matt's hand there supporting her head (which weighed about 14 lbs, he said ), and she had a LOT of loose skin on her neck... told you she was a fatty!
