much appreciated - i agree ive bowhunted for 4 years and just papertuned my bow the first time this year im kinda like a monkey and a football with this stuff if you know what i mean. starting to meet some guys that are into so that makes it easier and of course this sites like an encylopedia

Face it after this you will never trust the Rage headsagine, so did you paper tune your bow after you changed your fletching style? My guess is no, so go shoot it through paper, get the bow back in tuneand find some fixed baldes you trust and go kill something.

They should open for you through the paper. Regardless, I wouldn't use them. Not because they're a bad head, but those Rages are not the most appropriate head for you to use. Your KE output would be similar to mine. I shoot a BT Equalizer at 51lbs, 26" draw. I truly do get better results with a 2blade COC head. I encourage you to do the same and select a COC head 2 blade or with small bleeders, or a small 3 blade chisel tip like the Wasp Boss Bullet.
