That's pretty cool Rob! Wishing you the very best! Hope you get that big bruin, and to go on the fox! Keep shooting that camera as well!

Hey Will I pinned your name on a reindeer while I was down there last. Are you coming up to get him next year?

I went in last night and hung a new stand for the prevailing westerlies that are supposed to kick in today. It's within 100 yards or so of the big guy's bedding area but I wasn't too excited by the lack of fresh sign. I'm just hoping he gets hungry and tries to kill and eat one of these sows that's been hanging around. Now that would be some cool video!

Sorry guys, no pics this time. I blew out of work yesterday and sat in the freezing rain for three hours on stand until dark without seeing anything. The local taxidermist called to tell me that he and his kid were in that drainage in the morning and blew a 9 foot boar out of the creek just downstream from my setup. I don't know what he was thinking stalking downwind in there on an animal with 1000 times more olfactory receptors than a bloodhound?![&:] I'm debating whether to hunt the other stand tonight or just leave it for the weekend and take the boat out after deer, or go wrestle with the hordes that will be out for the goat opener. Decisions, decisions...

That's too bad. That's part of hunting though (other hunters that is)

With all the sightings you've had as of late, I'm sure you'll connect soon, just a matter of time

I got blown off the mountain from goat hunting on Sunday so I got in my stand dark and early. I had this really dark colored bear right under me at first shooting light but apparently it wasn't quite bright enough for the camera; it looks like a bigfoot sighting!

I did end up with a real nice cross fox on the way home at the end of the day. I can't believe I've been trying for over 12 years to shoot a fox with a bow and this year it's just flying fur! By the way, I don't recommend fox hunting with the 125 grain Montec... they don't go far but the taxidermist is really going to hate me for all the sewing!
