I think if a buck is going to come in to rattling it doesn't matter if you're using linkin' logs to rattle with. I use the real thing, but they are a pain in the butt to carry quietly and climb a tree with.
I rattled a Buck in by dropping an arrow down through the branches,( by mistake of course)ting tang ting. I agree, if they are going to come in to rattling most any thing will work.I did use Horns but now I carry the bag.
