3 yards, from a double bull
I knifed a doe from my DB, she only went 30 yards or so.

Let's not forget the time I grabbed that hen by the neck either.[8D]
Mine is on film, are those two[8D]

I would say 7-8 yards from the ground and probably 2 yards from my treestand ( my first bow kill and I made a poor shot choice as I pretty much shot straight down)

Probably 5-6yds from a treestand.

If you're gonna take 3yd shots from the ground......shoot a couple practice shots. You might be surprised which pin you'll use.

Or practice not using one.

Directly underneath me. And frankly I won't attempt the shot any more.... if they are that close, than at some point they are going to be at about the right distance again. I prefer, from a treestand, not shooting at anything inside about 8 or 9 yards. I don't tend to climb or set stands too high anymore... usually about 12-17 feet...

From the ground blind, my closest is about 20. For whatever reason I've just never gotten one right on top of me with the ground blind.

6' on the ground and 10' in a stand. Both times I could have sworn the deer was going to hear my heart pounding!
