ORIGINAL: buckeye

What did the arrow look like? Buckeye

Fat and some meat..... Next to no blood. Rybo saw the arrow as well.
Fat and meat, hmmm I bet Rob's cousin arrow looked exactly the same.

Rob get the cousin on the phone[8D]

Jeff on the entrance I believe the tuff of hair is like a canopy over the wound, being the view is 2d it's extremly hard to tell. IMO the entrance wound is a tad higher than you think IMO.

Gary....

Forget about the entrance wound for a second and go one post back (or to the photo youposted to start this thread) and tell me if you think this deer's intestines were shot or not.

When I initially watched the video I visioned the arrow to look exactly as GMMAT has drawn in. And in my mind I was wondering how in the hell that deer was walking around like nothing happens. It seems to me that deer is going to die. It looks like it hit the top of the guts to me, just under the spine. I dont think this skipped over the deers back as it looks a bit to low for that. But I dont understand why that deer is just walking as if nothing is wrong with him. Looks like he should die in a few days to me, but his body language says otherwise.... Weird...

The angle is irelevent from the hitting a branch and it could have hit a rib and deflected it in a different direction!!! JEEEZ!!The buck in my atvar hit mid bodywhen I shot him on the ground andhit arib and angled up into the bottom of the spine and dropped him in his tracks. I was on the ground the arrow angled up. Lets get over the angle. If there is meat on the arrow it went under the spine. It's fat and skin on top of the deer, and if it went over the spine with a three blade there would be some slicing of hide I just see holes.

Like I said before there is a small void under the spine and there is some meat there, backstraps. The guts don't rest on the spine.

I really think the "trajectory" path is pointless though as arrows do flex as they fly and do flex when they hit an object.

Cool. Now tell me if you think (looking at this picture) that no intestines were hit.

I'm not moving this exit wound around. It is where it is.

You could take a straight DOWN shot at a deer and miss his spine by 2" and hit all sorts of things

Jeff it's all about the angle.
That deer was not hit in the intestines.

Any one question the marks on the bucks neck?
I have a close up on that with the next video I'll post tonight. IT's about an 5" slit just in front of his shoulder. Weird?
