Rob already said he would have taken the deer if he thought the buck would die otherwise. Nothing more ANYONE can do.

I am sold on the fact that that is not a shot where you think it is, just roughed up hair. There is no hole there, no scratch, none of that, except at the neck, where it actually "grazed" the deer like his cousin described
