Ask Matt/PA about how his arrow went through his buck last year, it changed directions. An arrow could easily slide curved under the hide.

I'm not sure my cousin found the arrow. I'll inquire.

Any one question the marks on the bucks neck?
I have a close up on that with the next video I'll post tonight. IT's about an 5" slit just in front of his shoulder. Weird?
And Rob shoots Rocky Mt. Snypers.........oh the plot thickens!! LOL

I'm taking my longbow....and going huntin'....lol

Gary....We just have a difference of opinion. I just can't see how you go backwards from the exit hole to the entrance hole and don't hit guts. Matter of fact.....I don't see how you go 2" from the exit hole and don't.

Have at it.

BTW...I sent MEZ a link to this thread and asked for his take on everything. Anyone would know.....I think he would.

Jeff I agree with you I think intestines are hit and the deer will die from infection! May look fine now but won't be fine later!

That deer is clearly shot in the "void"[8D]I don't know, whether it's in the guts or not or whether it will live or not or whther I would have shot or not with the buck walking around seemingly heathly. I will say that I can't imagine how the exit could have been that low and the arrow not hit some guts. Also, it appears from the exit that it almost certainly had to go under the spine, though from the entrance it appears possible to have gone over the spine.

The angle is irelevent from the hitting a branch and it could have hit a rib and deflected it in a different direction!!! JEEEZ!!The buck in my atvar hit mid bodywhen I shot him on the ground andhit arib and angled up into the bottom of the spine and dropped him in his tracks. I was on the ground the arrow angled up. Lets get over the angle. If there is meat on the arrow it went under the spine. It's fat and skin on top of the deer, and if it went over the spine with a three blade there would be some slicing of hide I just see holes.

Like I said before there is a small void under the spine and there is some meat there, backstraps. The guts don't rest on the spine.
Do a search on "void" and see what you come up with. It might change your view a bit. That pony's been beaten beyond death.

I'll bet that neck shot came from the area of "grassy knoll" there had to be more than one shooter.[:-]

That buck is acting as if everything is ok?

I would just keep my eyes open for him.

He will most likely be hanging around, Like you sead if he starts acting strange? And If he comes in range? Zip one threw him![&:]

I could be missing something but are thereentry and exit wounds. I am dumber than a stump but is it possible the deer got broadsided in a fight with another bucK??Maybe even torn up on a fence?
In any event that deer did not seem stressed at all. Looked to be quite relaxed just browsing his way along. I think that deer willlive UNLESS he walks under my stand. We can call it a "cull" buck.

Looks to be high and just outside of the rib caged protective area. Not a great shot by any stretch of the imagination. I actually thought that exit hole was some kind of a mark on it from the farm, LOL.
