What I find strange is that BOTH tufts of hair look like exits.
That's what makes MOTOWN think we are arguing over tufts of hair. [8D]

If Mez comes in and says he'll die of this wound, though,.....will you shoot him?
If I had any doubt, he'd already be processed.

I too, like PT think your lines are off, I agree with Germ's lines.

I thought his left side was the entrance side? I was under the assumption your cuz didn't shoot UP at this buck.....lol.

And honestly....I can change the angle to depict anything you want. I tried here (see yellow lines), but even they don't match up in a line.....and even STILL....it doesn't change the FACT that the arrow HAS to go in on the entrance hole and exit on the exit hole. period. Looking at this doesn't change my opinion that guts were hit.

We could draw it like this and it wouldn't either.

I don't know the whole story on this and I didn't bother to read through the 15 pages on this thread but are we absolutly sure that this was even done by an arrow? I mean, isn't there a possibility that it could have been caused by something else? Fighting or something? If not disregard my post.

By all means it could have, John.....but the premise here, by some, is that the deer will be fine EVEN IF those are the entrance/exit wounds.

Ok, I just watched the close up video on page 8 and I think that it could very well be fighting wounds. Look at the other wounds on his neck.

This angle tells the story the best I think. That pass through If that's what It actually Is has to be 2" to 3" down from the top of the deer's hair. The back straps alone are 2" to 3" thick at least. The hide alone Is another inch or 2 thick depending on the amount of fat he has. There has been many deer hit there that have not been found, reason being cause they lived through It. 10 years ago I would of said that deer Is going to die of a gut shot. Up till then I didn't pay as much attention to all of the area above the spine. There's much more room up there then I had ever thought was possible. A friend of mine shot a bear about 4 yards away 16' up In a tree. He went over the spine and caught the ribs on the other side with one blade (2 blade zwickey) and In the process It cut the outer edge of the far lung. We got that bear. The sharpness of the angle on this deer Is way less and I mean way less then that of my friends bear.

OK .. i got the link to work .... kinda ...for some reason it comes on and ends in like a second ....

Anyway, I wonder if that is from an arrow .... neither looks like an entrance wound ....neither one .... and his neck is messed up??? Maybe he DID just tangle with a monster that opened up a can on him ...... he sure seems TOTALLY fine ....

I'm objective, Schultzy.....but when trying to discern the truth....we need to look at this from as many angles as possible. Not just the ones that bolster one side of the discussion.

I'm going hunting....and taking some video.

Ya'll have fun[8D]

LOL I think you got it on the last try, and that arrow still missed the guts[8D]
