They're ripe, now....and WE know they're sweet, to us, after the first frost. I think deer will eat them ANY time they hit the ground or they can reach them.

I have three know persimmon trees in my hunting areas. I'll be hunting near them as soon as I get a good wind and I wanna go doe hunting (that's where these trees are.....doe laden areas).

Good luck Frank.....and give me a call when you can shoot up and do some hunting. I'll sit you near a persimmon tree! But wait until we get a wind without an "N" in it.

Yep, they are dropping on my farm too. I tasted some this weekend and they are fit to eat. I am seeing them in coon and coyote crap everywhere. The deer are hitting them too.

I have seen the seeds in deer poo in a lot of the roads, so it is a safe bet I will hunt this concentration sometime in the near future ... appreciate the response always heard hunt them after the frost maybe has something to with them dropping more but should be a good spot now

thanks again

We have a ridge that is full of these, also has lots of acorns and crops on the edges as well.. so many persimmon trees it's tough to hunt just one.. But anyway, we usually pay alot of attention to them after the first frost..
