OK! I called 911 against my better judgment, and I talked to a lady and she put me through to a poliece officer, I told him my story and everything to a T and he said that was one of the crazier stories he's herd and I was pretty nervous I guess you could say and I was sotra talking fast (imagine that) and I said I diddnt want to report it and sound like and idiot because I couldnt give them a description of this guy and blah blah blah he said he understoond completely, he would do everything he could do and he would make a report for it I thanked him and he said that they have had trouble in those woods before, and we talked about that for a few minutes and things But overall the guy seemed straight up and more than willing to help me. So I guess it will all just blow over and I'll be searching for a new spot.

To say that this has changed the way I will do things is an understatement.

Ryan, I know you have heard that it isn't good to call 911 in a non-emergency. I have done it twice. Once there was a car accident outside my window and another time there was a tire in the middle of the interstate. Both times I said this is a non-emergency but heres the situation....yada yada yada. Both times they thanked me for calling. They will not be upset if you tell them what happened. Police are there to be concerned for peoples safety. You were not in a safe situation and I would have reacted the same way. You shoot your mouth off at someone with a gun...before you get the assclo.... out of your mouth BOOM! I guess that would be the wrong choice.
Seriously give them a call and let them know exactly what happened. They will not be upset I guaranty it.

For an 18 year old kid I think you made all the right moves. He was armed with a gun and you with a bow. It's a no brainer. Your alive and well so it worked good for you. Did you tell your dad? You definantly need to report it. Don't worry about the internet tuff guys you were the one getting cussed at and having a pistol waived to intimidate you. Call the law young man.
No, I diddnt tell my dad, simply because I dont want to get him worked up he's got enough health problems as it is, and I appreciate you looking at it from my point of view, I made it out of the situation alive, and to me thats what counts.

If it were me i would refocus my efforts on hunting deer to hunting that ___hole! There is no way in hell that he will spot you if you take the time to really conceal yourself into some brush or really high up in a tree. I would take a video camera and a gun with me and get the guy on film. I personally could not turn cheek and walk away. What might happen when the neighbor kids decide to go into the woods to build a fort or something, could you live with yourself if something bad happened?

Also what other kinds of problems did the officer say he has had in those woods?

Nah, I would have taken it into consideration the only other time I've ever called 911 was when a guy was on I-99 jumping infront of cars. (yeah) But you were right the lady was very nice and she wasnt upset with me for calling contrary to what I would have assumed.

Well, a while back there was a kid that went crazy and was going to kill himself up there, I saw where he sat with a duffle bag full of pictures, a suicide note and shotgun shells, (the duffel bag was laying there for weeks before someone came and got it) and noone is allowed to ride quads and people do (all the time) and people shoot firearms up there in a saftey zone (which most of it is) and people were peppering houses with 12gague BB's lets see. Ohh one idiot set the woods on fire I was the first one to find that ohh what a plesant suprise that was, This property borders a Trailer park so you get all kinds of white trash that think they own the entire world so. you name it I can prolly say I've seen it up there. Ohh someone went wacko one day with spray paint and wrote god all over the trees... Yeah....... Idiots.

Yep, you name the idiot We've prolly got atleast 2. Most of these people have since moved or are in Jail so. The guy who was going to kill himself accully did it about 6 months later. The people peppering houses were cought turned out being 2 kids that were on my school bus, They got big fines and lost hunting privelages, the quad people Idk what their deal is I hate them with a passion though.

Ryan.

Edit: the person who set the woods onfire was the one who went to jail Not for the arson but for assult and battery iirc. noone can prove he lit the woods so he got away with that one I guess.
