If you have to

Not from this angle. It can be done, I've done it. Got lucky. Dead deer. Following season I wounded some. learned my lesson, never again. Broadside, quartering away or no shot! It's not worth the anguish I felt when I failed to recover a deer, not worth it at all!

Never have to shoot.
There is no shot there.
Waddel takes it to get film in a can - he doesn't show the unsuccessful ones.
Questions like this are why the bowhunter ed course should be mandatory in all states.

I have not shot a deer yet with any weapon i would think of it hard sorry to say. last year i missed twice both bucks both broadside 15 yard shots.
I would say no but when in the woods the buck fever might get the best of me. Got to say what part of season it is should not matter a bad shot is a bad shot.

personally i dont take this shot because i know i wont kill the deer in a proper way. (unless it is literally like under 5 yards then i might think about a brisket shot, but prolly wont take it b/c lack of confidence in its success.)

Thats a misconception, its a high %age shot. I've made it many times.

It is not a high percentage shot for the overwhelming majority of hunters.
Very small margin of error especially when compared to a broadside or quartering away.
Even when lucky and fatal, I bet the recovery rate is lower as well.
