Iffy bow press

Yea, I don't think I would use the one you have pictured......
I was also looking for a press that was cheaper but sturdy and most importantly portable. I finally settled on this one..Mike's Portable Bow Press.. was $35 about 6mos. ago. It's just the ticket for me. Heavy Duty Strap w/handle and functional attachments, and very portable.

Split limb attachments work for both solid and split limb bows. You can find him on ArcheryTalk under the name RockScout

Tried the search, got nuthin.
The problem with all the portable presses on the market, is they dont work with this bow. If you look at the shape of the limbs, the tips are curved quite a bit, and if the bow is pressed from anywhere but the tips of the limbs, it will screw them up. If I knew how many pounds the limbs had on them I might use the cam method.

I made this one from commonly available materials. The steel bar is 1.25" x .125" and the bolts are .5" x 3.5". If you have a friend/shop that can do a couple of simple welds, you can make this one and it should press your bow.
