A perfect shot it would not matter mech or fixed or make. One thing to consider is that on the outside chance one makes the not so perfect shot a mech will back up and close ,were a fixed blade will keep working for you with every leep.

Well...I don't have an unfounded phobia or an uneducated bias...
I did learn that GMMAT went to them because he hit a deer too far backand evidently had a sparce blood trail...Certainly not the fault of the head...Possibly a more experienced tracker wouldn't have had a problem finding that deer...
I also learned that he had already decided on HIS answer to the post before he posted...

I know, I know, you just asked a simple question, but you're smarterthan the average bear... you had to know where it would go.
BTW, I can't participate in your poll. I shoot Grim Reapers. More cutting surface than the Rage and no "O" rings.[8D]

How the hell are ya, GMMAT? You know I'm right, don't ya? It's only 1/16", and YES the rage makes a bigger hole, but it really does have that itty bitty bit more cutting surface. Does it make a difference? Not a bit, but at least I can say it.

I've been working so hard with that longbow, but I'm going to limit my shots to 15 yards and under with it though. I tried hard to get consistent enough to shoot 20 yards, but I know I'm not there yet, so 15 yards max it is. Best of luck to you.

One thing I find funny, is the guys who say that they hate moving parts, yet most guys here use compound bows, NEWS FLASH GUYS!! YOUR COMPOUNDS HAVE MOVING PARTS!!!!! I guess you would be better off going hunting with a spear? No moving parts?
Anyone care to explain this to me please?
