Nope. Never thought about it, Bob.
In your case, LT.....I have no problems believing that....lol.

Since I can't shoot and don't know how to tune,I will stick with the mechanicals.[8D]
Oh,almost forgot,I prefer 75 yard shots as well so they are a must.

I do see what your saying, your sayingtheU.S. Governmentshould ban alcohol nation wide because some people get behind the wheel and drive while under the influence. That has nothing to do with the vehicle or the alcohol!!!! It was the drivers decision!!!!
You see what I am saying????
You see what I am saying????

! Nobody has said mechanicals should be banned. Nobody said mechanicals shouldn't be used. Nobody said mechanicals are ineffective at killing deer. What I am saying is NOBODY has proven a mechanical tobe more effective and accurate than a fixed head at most bow ranges. Also, that many folks beileve they can shoot further distances with a mechanical, than they could otherwise with a fixed head, because of it's field point accuracy. That's all.

Last year 3 blade Rage. I was ELk hunting and the blades would not stay in the o-ring. At least 1 blade would pop out, when it was the moment of truth it sounded like a fan as it flew thru the air. The arrow went high and the Elk was gone and laughing all the way.

Good words, in my little mind anyway. Nothing against mechanicals, nothing against those that make them their choise. I do believe, no actually I KNOW, it gives SOME a false sense security on longer shots. Inside of thirty yards, no advantage what so ever for me shooting mchanicals. And thirty yards is my limit.
I am.

I think mechanicals have led to shots that in my opinion should not be taken.
I understand in the western state longer shots are a necessity because of open terrain . But in the whitetail woods most of us hunt I see no need to take long shoots that lead to poor hits ,long blood trails & lost deer, leading to some real heated post here the next day.
Bow hunting is a close and personal sport ,if you don't have the ability to get close to your target, maybe its just not for you.
It seems like the one common denominator to poor hits is directly related to the distance the shot was taken.
I find it damn near impossible to make a bad 12 yard shot, I'm sure some of you are capable of it,but to me inside of twenty I'm golden.
