Im not sure how big your creek is, but I made the mistake last year of setting up a stand about 20 yrds from a great crossing spot by a creek. The only problem was if we got any rain it would swell the creek up and the noise of the rippling water overpowered any ability to hear deer coming through the leaves.
75% of the time it was a great setup, but when the water started to flow after a storm, you couldnt hear yourself fart because of the ripples.

well right now it is low when i scouted it last it was 6 inchs deep.
We had alot of rain from the hurricane and it has come up.
But it is in a flat area and there is not much sound.
It does not move very fast and is made of mud not rucks
