Are we talking about that little black plastic slide??? Maybe it's been changed since my bow but the one I had was crap. Mine never failed but it was showing major wear (bought the bow used) and I changed it after one day of shooting with it on. I've also read enough posts here about the same problem. It was a great bow and I loved the solid back wall as well as how it shot......till the limb cracked![:@]

I still have it, it sits along side my Browning Oasis......also with a cracked limb.[]

I have a tribute, & shoot blazer. Never have had a problem with them. Is that just on a particular model your talk'n about?
