Default Water proofing WB rest

has anyone used any type of water, snow or ice proofing on a WB rest. I'm heading up north in NOV. for a week and would like to know what's the best thing to use.

You can buy cans of No Snow from Carolina Archery Products at your local Cabela's or Bass Pro Shops...

Why would silicone spray NOT work?

I'm not familiar w/ this stuff, so I don't know....How does it dry? Would it "stick" the bristles together? If not, I see no reason why that wouldn't work.

It dries really quickly Mo.....and if I were gonna use it on a WB.....I'd take an old arrow and run the fletchings back and forth through it as I was spraying....to make sure I got full coverage....AND to make sure nothing was sticking. I'd move them all around through every possible scenario while I sprayed.

Just a cheap thought.

Silicone and no-snow should both work. I kind of like theno-snow to waterproof my feathers and it doesn't leave a lingering smell to my nose anyway (won't comment on how the deer smells it). It does take overnight to dry though and will not last an entire season. If you want to go the chepeast way, get some aquanet hairspray (really).

For a quick fix....you could always stick a little bottle of that "ginks" stuff (flyfishermen use it to make their dry flies "dry") in your pack and put a little on the exposed side of your bristles (in weather). That way it wouldn't be something on your bristles ALL the time.

Just thinking out loud.

I have used the spray from Carolina Archery products but i was told that is basically the same thing as Camp Dry spray. I heard Tom Miranda say on one of his shows once that he used silicone spray when he went into the arctic to hunt musk ox.
