Silicone and no-snow should both work. I kind of like theno-snow to waterproof my feathers and it doesn't leave a lingering smell to my nose anyway (won't comment on how the deer smells it). It does take overnight to dry though and will not last an entire season. If you want to go the chepeast way, get some aquanet hairspray (really).
