There's a big difference between having a flat spot to build on and having land that is suitable (by code) to build on. That's what I was referring to.

I know what you were saying. Its good land for down here (soil wise) and building there would not have a code problem at all. The owner inherited the place from his father. He's 75 years old and at one time thought about building his retirement home here, but due to a son that he will have to care for the rest of his life, cannot leave the city and no longer wants to take care of the place down here.

20 acres? 80K tops, im betting...it would be even less here.

200k is over 10,000/acre....you can buy subdivision lots for that around here. 200k here could get you 100+ acres if you find the right area.

And just so you know, I am looking for a new neighbor. If I had the cash I would have bought it this AM, but am still unemployed so that is out of the question.
