Center section, see were T is cut out so you can lift up and put roll of freezer paper on. Also the spring loaded bolts with wing nuts for tension and to keep from over tightening the PVC pipe.
Same with the top.
As for the base you can see mine is PVC but I have a few boards on it, will end up making another out of angle iron or regular pipe in the future for better stabilization on breezy days, But then this one is 11 years old and I have not got around to it yet . Dont glue the base to it if you use PVC, so you can take it apart for easy storage.

I cut a rectanglar hole from the middle of a 1/4 sheet of plywood and hang it from the garage ceiling. I staple butcher paper or newspaper to the edges. Stores neatly and quickly.

I made a square frame at the base with pvc. Itworks great. Great paper tuner at a cheap price. If you want I can try and post pictures (or email them) and give a parts breakdown.

if you are using pvc use a t connection at the bottom and runlenths to the front and back. for more stability you could put 90's on the end of those and make a square frame base.

I use to stapple butcher paper to a wooden step ladder, now I just screwed a frame together that fit butcher paper perfect, I also put legs on it, it works real nice, I would go get picks, but its raining, it also works good for sighting in rifles, and patterning shotguns.

Who paper tunes????
I usually do a walk-back, make sure my rest is centered, then throw on some BH's and shoot them to make sure they shoot close to my FP's, tinker ever so much, and get them tight, from there, I'm usually ok.
If you paper tune, then have to move anything to get your BH's to hit with your FP's, what's the use in paper tuning in the first place???

Plenty of folks. You can use paper to find arrows with a bad spine, you can use paper to adjust the nock on an arrow to the stiffest spot(spine). You can paper tune if your range is limited to only 15-20yds (no walk-back or group tuning there). Does a person need to paper tune? Absolutely not. But paper tuning can be very useful and effective if you want it to be . The trouble with it, for some,is that it is not as easy to setup and do as group tuning or walk back tuning or bareshaft tuning and so on.
