Well I can't see how a shot past 40 yards is ethical or needed. A person should be able to get within 40 yards of the deer if they have the least amount of skill. Ethical because I feel that after 40 yards there is too much room for error also I feel that the speed and energy of an arrow is dramaticly reduced every yard past that. Just my 2 cents worth of personal opinion.

Ohhh and aaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa page 10 Baby Yea. Posted at 11:59 p.m. (eastern time of course) I told ya I would do what I could to help this get to 10 by Monday.

Well I was just out checking my trail camera under my tree stand and it was still early in the morning so I decided to see if anything would come buy. I didn't have any weapons because the season is still a month away. Anyways about 30 minutes later here comes this buck went out at about 22 yards under me but he was kinda trouting keeping out of the sun. Then he went to 45 yards and bedded down for a long time but anyways I would be really temted to take that shot but I don't think I would.

My max is 40yds.

Anybody who takes a 100 yard shot on a deer with a bow deserves to have their bowhunting privelages revoked IMO.

I don't care if you are literally the world's greatest archer. You're a moron if you do that and you woudn't be welcomed in our camp. It's that simple.

I will never shoot at anything that's over 30 yards. The arrow is just in flight too long....too many variables there

Something to think about....

If you got your hunting clothes on and climbed a treestand and put a 3d deer target at 50 yards using your hunting broadheads, could you put 50 out of50 arrowsin the vitals with NO misses?

If the answer is no, then that's too far for you.

If you can put 99 out of 100 in the vitals, but the FIRST one misses, than 50 yards is STILL too far for you.
