In all seriousness, I believe it is because they have such a large territory. If my only job was to kill a lot of deer I could make it happen. However, I work 50 hours a week and can only take off a few weeks a year to hunt them down. I hunt on close to 10k acres, so if they feel pressured in any area I'm in they can go to another location far far away.

We all know how nocturnal deer become once hunting season has been underway for awhile. I wonder what survivor behavior would develop if spotlighting and shooting were legal? Hmmmmm?
