Here in Illinois, leaving a trail cam or stand out is the same as putting your stuff on the side of the road with a free sign on it.

Same for me, if I know that I'll be back in the morning then I'll leave my climberin the woods, otherwise it's out of there. I've seen other stands left in the woods. My friend leaves his up for gun season for the whole week, but he's in it all day.

I don't have a camera (yet). If I did leave it out, I would put it in an area that I would hunt, and try to conceal it as much as possible and leave it for only 1 night, maybe 2 if I felt brave. Even then I bet it would get stolen. That is probably part of the reason why I don't have a camera yet.

Stand, NO WAY IN HELL would I even think of leaving it out.

I leave my stands out....... no problems. My buddy had one stolen a couple of yrs back but it was way too close to a road. The only problems I have had with cameras is the bears........ they either steal them or play around with them. Maybe schultzey could tell me how he gets the bears to leave his alone

what i thought about was getting a security cam small one infer red
a portable dvr and a solar charger for a small battery hiding the dvr so as it would be near impossible to find then just mounting the cam above the stand leave it run 24/7 and if it get stolen just get the dvr and call the law

the cam is wireless so you could hide the dvr anywhere out of sight within like a 100 feet heck go 20 or 30 feet over your stand and mount in the tree no one would even be looking up there

i would guest it would cost say 150 bucks to set up or
if i had my own land i would buy the sercurity cams that run online and send it to my home computer
