Never said they 'must' do it on my terms only they 'should' do it if they are capable. I'm smart enough to realize if its legal its a personal choice. So go ahead and enjoy that 'cheater' bow!
Arrogance at it's best. Congrat's you have proven in a very short period of time that you are an arrogant "elitist". I would never share a camp with you........

Yes, in the eyes of traditional hunters, a compound could be considered a 'cheater' bow as I have stated. I have no problem with them thinking of me that way if they so choose. One of my friends I hunt with shoots traditional gear and I used to myself. I'm not going to anymore as age has caught up with me.
I hardely ever hear a trad guy shouting arrogant statements like you sir.

Quote:"A man has got to know his limitations!"
did you think of that yourself? BTW...I have never even shot a Xbow.

I'm a traditional bow hunter Gus.
I know...

Ihardely ever see you making nonsense comments aboutcompound hunters.

You do your thing andeveryone respects that, you are not looking to "prove" what a stud hunter you are by demeaning how someone else might want to do it.....like some......ehhh.....a lot od guys do on here.

I've been guilty of it a time or 2 Gus but mostly to prove a point because some meat head thinks he knows everything about Traditional bows and yet has never hunted with a Traditional bow.

That to me is a lot different than an out right elite attitude that is on display here all too often. I have never seen atrad guy start a thread questioning the validity of a compound, or how it is cheating.

It really amazes me just how ignorant some of "us" are. [&:]

Why did I waste my time as there is nothing 'elitest' or 'arrogant' about my post!!!

You completely misunderstand me, but that is your right!!! And if you did share a camp with me, you would find out how poorly you judged me! I wish you the best!

Well Guss, I shoot Trad, I shoot Compound, they have the same shot process, and I have shot several X Bows and you or know one else is going to tell me that a X Bow is shot the same as a Recurve or a Compound just to make you feel better. If you are handicaped and can already hunt the whole season with the Xbow all 90 days of it here in Mich, so whats your point! Itis shot like aGun, not like a bow, and you or no one else can change that. It has nothing to do with feeling elite, it is what it is.

uhhhhh.......what about this?

Crossbows are cheater bows
So go ahead and enjoy that 'cheater' bow!

Really?

Crossbows are cheater bows, i.e. a bow that someone uses because it's easier even though they 'could' use something else!
Are you able to use trad equiptment? Do you?

It does not matter to me what you or anyone else shoots..........if it's diffetrent or not. I unlike you don't care what anyone else hunts with. As I said earlier I have never shot a Xbow.

Whay do you care what anyone else shoots anyway?

If you are handicaped and can already hunt the whole season with the Xbow all 90 days of it here in Mich, so whats your point!
So only handicapped people should be able to kill deer with xbows? My point is who the hell cares? Why must you look down your nose?

Now how about an atl-atl? I have always wanted to try that. The elite anti-elitests are aunique crowd.

My dad hunts with a crossbow due to a bum shoulder. I am very glad the Dr provided him with a special permit so that he may spend more time in the outdoors - not a bow tag or a gun tag.

As I was saying before...

For me it's not an issue of technology. If it's available and you want to shoot it, go and shoot it, however; in hunter-congested states I think xbows should be limited to gun hunting areas because of their 'point-and shoot' ability.

This isn't to say that walking past an idiot archer with a compound bow in public woods is safer by much, but the person with the compound bow has much more time to think before doing something stupid compared to the same archer(idiot archer in my example)with a crossbow in his hands.
