Not sure I exactly follow your design concept....?

My Scott works exactly how I would design one.....I barely pull the trigger and it goes off.....


Also I keep my trigger finger behind my trigger until I'm ready to pull it, so that helps keep it locked up and safe.....so when i'm ready i take my finger from behind the trigger to infront o fit.....and its ready to go ,

Oh, it's not MY design concept, they're already out there. I'm referring to the triggers that you have to push forward to lock the jaws on the string rather than pull the trigger to open the jaws, and let go of the trigger to close them.

It just seems to me that the "push forward" designs "snap" back when you touch them off, as opposed to squeezing the jaws open in the other design.

OOOHHH...I avoided this thread earlier because I didnt understand you. Heck every release I have ever used works as you described...to be honest, I didn't even know they made em like the one you have.[X(]

Scott releases are top notch, if you shoot a dloop try out the silverhorn and see if you like it. I LOVE the openhook design....I could hook up to the loop blind folded, hanging upside down. I will probably never use a caliper style release again now.

I not sure I agree with you guys, I have both a scott release which is what you describe I have it set as a hair trigger, and a truefire which is the one you desrcibe as you have to pull the trigger to open it and let down the trigger to close it.I shot both releases great but I find myself with my scott release antisapating the shot and willstart punching the trigger if I am not carefull. NOw with the truefire release I believe you have to use your back mussles more to pull it. Just my two cents.. Walt
