Silly High Speed Carbon Shooters

Not trying to ruffle feathers here
but why is it that on alot of the huntng shows I see on TV they shoot a buck with a high speed setup with carbons and the arrow only penetrates 6inches or so then is flung to the ground as the deer takes off? I saw a show last night where this was the case, he did get enough penetration to hit vitals and got the deer and the carbon arrow was snapped like a dried out twig when the deer took off. I can't remember the last time I didn't have a complete pass thru even after busting through a shoulder with 60lb, 125gr heads, and xx75 2413's. I killed a nice 8pt. 2yrs. ago quartering almost straight away, the arrow punched liver, lung, top of heart then blasted through the brisket. Must be that speed vs momentum thing. Comments?
