i have seen a TON of new faces around on the bowhunting forum lately.
lets just get to meet some new people

im rory, from missouri
im 15
i love to hunt, play baseball, and party

ive been bowhunting seriously for about 2 years, but i have been out there with a bow in my hand learning for about 4. never killed one with a bow, im willing to bet that comes this fall though;)

i love to deer hunt, but behind deer isa close second, in turkey. i have killed5 of them suckers in 6 years of hunting them, that equals a ton of great memories with my dad and brother.

i have been deer hunting 8 years, and killed 6 of them. the biggest coming this past fall. i try to learn as much as i can about them, to help me become a more successful, and ethical hunter. which is one of the reason i signed up on here.

i also like to waterfowl hunt, and have killed more ducks and snow geese han most of my dads hunting buddies. i guess it helps that my dads a waterfowl guide in the bootheel of missouri;). only killed a couple of canadas, as they dont tend to cooperate down here as well as they do up north;)

looking forward to meet some new people hopefully in this thread

I'm Kamil from New York 23 years old...I like long walks on the ....j/k....I've been Bowhunting for about 2 years now and I'm hooked. I don't know if I will ever rifle hunt seriously thanks to bowhunting.

I'm Curtis from Texas...I am 35 and live to bowhunt (aside from family)....I have been bowhunting since I was 22 as well as a serious 3_D competitor, however in the last 5 years I haven't shot 3-D seriously, I have just been shooting for fun....My oldest daughter is 7 and has a little cheap bow that she enjoys shooting, my wife has a descent compound that she shoots as well....It's a family thing....I gun hunted last year for the first time since 1996 and the only reason I sat with a rifle was b/c my daughter wanted to hunt with me..>We tried the double bull and a bow but she wasn't quite ready...Maybe this year....

I'm Steven, 19, I live in PA, but I'm going to school in New Hampshire for Civil Engineering. I've been into archery for 9 years and have been hunting since then as well. My favorite types of hunting are Archery, Flintlock Muzzleloaders, and Woodchucks. I enjoy all types of hunting however and spend ample time doing all of them. Hunting to me is more about the experience than the kill.

I shoot for UNH's Archery Team and won the New England Regional Collegiate Championships this past spring as a freshman, but shooting spots is just a way to practice for deer season.

My girlfriend and I at the shoot...she won her division as well.

I,ve been bowhunting since i was 10yrs. old. pretty much taught myself and never looked back,it is my passion i love it. didn't take my first deer until i was 14,a nice 5pt. since i have 3 p&y. 1317/8, 1421/4,and my biggest last yr.1561/8. stay persistant its my best advice.

I llove being a husband, a father, a businessman...and hunting is my hobby.

I've been bowhunting seriously for about 2.5 years. My first season ('05) saw me take only one ill-advised shot. I had no idea of what I was doing......and I probably shouldn't have been in a tree with a weapon.

Through the teachings of MANY, MANY of the members here.....I connected with my first whitetail (7-point buck) on Sept. 30th, 2006. I ended up taking 4 more deer that year....including a piebald and my first "wall-hanger" (8-point, 106+"). I followed up that season with a 9 deer season in '07 that was highlighted by a 4.5yr old/103" buck I had seen in my previous 2 seasons....but couldn't seal the deal on. He's with my previous 8-pointer on the wall, now. He was a great deer, to ME, for many reasons.

I took 2 turkeys via scatter gun, during my days in SC. I recently started bowhunting turkeys and took my first and only in '07. I got skunked in '08 on the birds....but only go tto hunt them 6 times (compared to 25 hunts in '06). I hope to add to this total in future years. I'm intrigued by them.

I started hunting small game in my single digit years with friends of my grandpa. I hunted about any small game you could think of until I went away to college (baseball). After college.....my hunting consisted of small game, until I was bitten by the waterfowl bug. I got into it to hunt....but found my passion training my dog to retrieve. I still miss my friend. I've taken more ducks than some.....andnever considered deer hunting until my son bought a bow in '05. I've been a deer hunting enthusiast, every since.....taking 14 whitetails.

I've also dabbled in deep sea fishing and in and off-shore fishing while a resident of Charleston, SC. Even did a TON of mtn. flyfishing before I moved to SC.

I've been blessed to hunt fertile grounds....and I've picked up more for '08. I plan to hunt less this year than in years past......but I plan on hunting smarter. I read about deer hunting every week....sometimes every day.

I owe more (when it comes to hunting)to this site and a handful of members than they'll ever know.

Back to the question, I'm Steve and I'm a bow hunting addict![8D] Ok I'll be good now. I'm 33 years old, been bow hunting for 22 years. I'm one of those guys thats not a big fan of all the technology thats been put into the compound bows so about 14 years ago I purchased a recurve and haven't looked back ever since, It fits my style so much better then a bow full of gadgets. I love hunting whitetails, I've had some ok success in hunting mature bucks but still have a long ways to go to be where I want to be. Bear hunting is my passion, I love it!! I seem to understand these critters better then anything else I've hunted.

I have myself an 11 month old daughter thats my pride and joy and then some. I hope some day she can join me in the woods.

i have won many archery competitions around my area
Iown 2000 acres in north missouri where we manage deer
MU is my favorite football team and is where i will be attending college when im older
i am also a big upland bird hunter going several times a year to different places around the country
My Dad and i are trying to get the super slam for north american big game animals so every year ,we go on 2 different hunts for different animals although, i have to go again for black bear since i did not get one on my hunt[:@]

I'm Don, and I reside in East Central MO with my wife and 2 daughters. I eat, breath, and sleep archery/bowhunting. I coach my daughter's softball teams, and am quite active in my church.

I've been bowhunting for about 5 years now, exclusively for 2. I just don't see me ever hunting w/ a boom stick again. I too, owe quite a lot to some of the members here, a couple in particular. I managed to take my first buck last fall, and I think it's gonna squeak P&Y to boot. But just so Germ didn't feel too bad, I whackeda doe as well.

I'm very fortunate that my local pro shop owner asked me to work for him about 2 years ago. This has afforded me much of what I have now, both in equipment and opportunities. I've made some very good friends there, some of which I get to hunt w/ from time to time. God has blessed my socks off in the hunting arena, and I'm very grateful.

My name is Luke. I am 28 yrs. old. I am married with 2 awesome step sons 12 and 5 and awonderful 20 month old daughter. I gun hunt and bow hunt. I like bowhunting alot better. I have been huntingsince Iwas 12 and hope to for many more years. I have harvested quite a few deer through the years. My best ones with a bow are 15in 11pt 1n 1994, 15in 10pt. in 2004, and 14.5in 9pt in 2007. With gun are 15in 8 pt in 2001 and 16.75in 8pt in 2006. The 2007 deer was a specialone because I shot him out of mygrandpas (who passed away6 yrs ago)old shooting shack.No one hadsat there since he had passedaway.

I'm Greg, 46 years old. I live in east Texas and work in the Dallas area. I am married to the lovely and talented Carie. We have a beautiful 3 year old daughter Lillian.
I have been bowhunting for 3 years and have killed 7 deer, 1 javalina,and a few dozen feral hogs in that time. We live on a 5 acre place in the country and one of my favorite things to do is fish in our pond with my daughter. I'm an animal lover. We have 4 dogs, 4 cats, 3 geese, and 1 rabbit. A jack and a couple of goats are on the way.
Over the past 3 years I have been trying hard to learn how to do all my own bow work and that is progressing nicely. I have most of the gear I need to do this. I have met and hunted with several members of HNI and look forward to meeting and hunting with more.

I'm 43 and have been hunting most of my adult life. I started in archery at about age seven. I like to hunt with all types of weapons and each are just as challenging and exciting for me as the next.

Married to a wonderful woman and have two kids, one boy and one girl ages 10 & 7 respectively. I've been involved in sports my entire life and was lucky and fortunate enough to be able to play in the NFL as an offensive linemen. It was fun then but I'm paying the price for it now as I get older...Oh well. I enjoy the outdoors immensely and try to spend a lot of time outdoors doing outdoor activities, hiking, hunting, canoing, camping, etc... The family enjoys it too so that makes it easier for us to plan short outdoor trips/activities.

Not much more to me really, I work way to much. I own my own company and all the headaches that go with it! I collect guns andI like to ride motorcycles (real ones like sport bikes. You know ones that go, stop, turn and handle when you want them to.;)) I also play the guitar, it's one of my ways to relax after a hectic day, I'll just sit back and play a couple songs.

I pretty much just love hanging with my family and try to be the best father/husband as I can be.

My name is Brian, about to hit the big 3-0 here in a few months and live in Downtown Chicago.
Got my fist .410 shotgun when I was 3 months old and haven't looked back. Took my first Deer Hunting trip to Michigan (Rifle)when I was 14 and have been hooked since. Under my belt I have about 10 whitetail Does, 2 Mule Deer Bucks and 1 Whitetail Buck. I am as big of a city hunter as you can get, the only problem is no one hunts in Chicago, so it's tough to try to find places to hunt and people to go with. Became a more of a hunting addict in college with my roommate and another one of my good friends, Unfortunately, both passed away in tragically in the last few years, so I only have one friend that hunts as well as my dad. I hunt mainly to spend times in the outdoors away from the city and spend time with my father and friends. I eat, sleep and breathe hunting, fishing, anderrr women:D!

Ive been shooting a bow for about 5 years now. Never been in a stand yet with it. Don't have any land to hunt so the only time I can get out is with my gun during deer season. Im hoping this year I'll be able to find a place or afford a good spot to go and score my first Bow Kill.

Last thing, Seriously, how do people live without hunting? It amazes me how people who havenever experience a sunrise from a deer blind actually can say they have really lived!

I'm Mark, 28 years old. I pretty much live the bachelor life.My life consists of working out, finishing my Masters, partying, girls, MU, Royals and Chiefs.I go to many games every year and would say it's a big part of my life. I've turned down job opportunities because I couldn't live amongst Bronco fans!!!:)I've been bowhunting for 7 years but have been hunting since around age 10 or so. I pride myself on being a skilled hunter and enjoy and live for the challenge for every hunting season. I've played drums since I was in the 4th grade(hence my handle, although I wish would've picked something else for this forum.) I'm a GIS Specialist for the State and Federal Government and that is what pays the bills.

I have been married for 6 years to my beautiful wife Melody and my daughter Vivian will turn 4 on the 21st of this month. Melody is also due to deliver our second child in December.:)

Beyond spending time with my wonderful family and hunting anything and everything, I enjoy coaching pee-wee football in the summer and early fall and spending as much time as possible at our camp.

Ican't really hunt asobsessively as I'd like to due to limited resources(land, guns, knowledgable people to hunt with)and circumstance butI plan to move to Mississippi in the upcomming years with my GF who is native to MS. I've been bowhunting for 5 years with a break in there somewhere.Ihope to get my first bow kill this fall as well. I've killed one deer with a shotgun and that's my only deer thus far.I've been firearm deer hunting with my dad and uncle since 2 years prior to being allowed to carry a gun.I have hunted pheasant ona preserve, squirrels, chipmunks, starlings, sparrows, andI went coon hunting in Mississippi with my GF's family.I plan on improving my deer hunting, small game, and trapping whenI get my own place.

I'm Chris, soon to be 26 in August and getting married to my beautiful fiance Meghan this October. I've been hunting since I was 13 and also killed my first deer that year. Have been bow hunting since I was 17. No kids yet, but see having some in the near future. I am employed by my family business which deals with manufacturing corrugated shipping containers (we make boxes:D) and other packaging supplies. I carry many rolls including HR, sales, customer service and pretty much anything my uncle or dad tell me to do.

i am Chris, 25 years old and have 3 kids and a wonderful wife. 5, 3, and 7months are the ages of my kids. originally from michigan so i have no real horns to brag about. i love to hunt it is one of my passions i get on her as much as possible to remind myself of hunting as i have moved to the city inCentral Indiana and have no place to hunt yet:(. but things are looking up. i am a full time student. full time employee. full time dad. full time husband. needless to say i have my hands full. anytime to have some peace and quite in the stand is welcomed.

I'm Rick, retired till I took up with the state of Del as a state employee. Don't know of any one active member that's been here longer, I'm #76 so I've been here since the beginning.Imoderated here for probably 4 years or longer till stepping down to lose the stigma associated with it at the time.I put together the very first NE Get Together from which you see all the spinoffs now. It was held at Cardeer's place, someone a lot of you don't know.My 1st screen name was mdbohuntr till I changed it to my real name.I bowhunt only and shoot what I want to shoot for whatever my reason might be.I lived in md all my life except for the last 12 or so yearsbut I still hunt MD exclusively. The one and only David Mil and Len in Md were my hunting partnerstill we lost the property and David moved north. I now hunt with Dave over in Hereford Co Md. My dream is to be invited to hunt with GMAT or whatever he goes by:D. Oh I ride Harleys also.

Im andrew, im 13, Im in junior high and I play many sports. A huge part of my life is the outdoors which means hunting. I practice with my bow every day (except for when its raining or really windy). I began bowhunting 5 years ago. I have entered 1 archery contest so far and I went to another a few days ago but it was bad outside so we turned and headed back home.
