As long as the blade is sharp and put in the right place it doesn' t matter. Find a broadhead that flies good and go with it. Make sure the blade are razor sharp. I use muzzy but have also used many others I just find that they fly good for me.

I first used bear razor heads. They worked fine if you hit them right. But the blood trails were " a spot here, a spot there" and every now and then a puddle. Then I started using 100 grain thunderheads. They did better. The blood spots seemed to make more of a " line" than a spot here or there. Then I went to the thunderhead 125. They were kind of a mystery. One deer there would be blood everywhere, the next, they were like the razor heads. All were good hits but I didn' t like what I was getting. So then I swiched to the 90 grain 4bladed muzzys. WOW!!! I' ve never seen trails this thick in my life! My step dad made a few bad hits on deer and we still found all of them. They make a very large hole through the deer. I got two in the heart and I had a three foot wide bloodtrails.

Fixed blades, I' d have to say Magnus Snuffers, the Muzzy' s are very close though. Also, for a 2 blade head, the Magnus 2 blades do very well.
As for mechanicals, the only ones I have used are the Spitfires which leave an unbelievable blood trail and the 2 blade Vortex, which quite honestly I was dissapointed in based on all the hype I had heard.

Anybody tried those bonebuster heads? I saw a guy on tv using them and he shot a deer in the shoulder with it. It wasn' t a passthrough, in fact he only got about 6-1/2" penetration. But he found the deer.

I shoot WASP High Tech Hammers in 75grn. They' ll break bone if need be and the majority of deer I' ve shot with them have gone less than 80 yds. A few like this years buck got a little farther but no more than 100yds. Have even had a few take a jump or two and come back to see what scared em and drop at almost the identical spot where they were hit!!!!
