The NAP spitfire leaves a large bloodtrail from my experieces tracking other peoples deer. Myself, I am partial to the thunderheads, don' t ask me why. Every deer I have ever killed has not had to be tracked because I have watched them go down. They have done good for me so far.

Broadheads that hit both lungs or the heart leave excellent blood trails

Best blood trial: The two deer I shot this year with the Wasp Jackhammer 100. ( 1 3/4" 3 blade mechanical) They had almost unbeleivable blood trials. The entry and exit holes from a 1 3/4" cutting diameter broadhead is devistating. The holes are huge! I seriously think you could gut shoot a deer and get 100% recovery. (not reccomended) I' ve slug hunted for over 15 years and never had a blood trial that could compare to the Jack Hammer!

My buddy told me about them. He has shot about 15 deer with this head and the average travel distance is 35 yards! The blood trial is devistating!

This broadhead is not for all bow set-ups. You need high KE set-up. If I was to guess......maybe 60 and over. My KE is 64. The more the better.

Good Luck!!!

I have taken 6 deer with a satellitle titan. None of them went further than 45 yards, they make big holes and the deer go down quick.

I got good blood trails with the Nap shockwaves and Spitefires. tThe main reason I use mechnicals is because I have a tendency to cut my self with sharp exposed objects.

I' m a big fan of Thunderheads but like already mentioned it doesn' t matter what broadhead you shoot em with if it goes through the vitals there will be a good blood trail and they won' t go very far.
