Jeff all that I can say is that I'm glad that I don't have your situation because I know that you struggle with what needs to be done and what your heart tells you. JeffI think that you need to settle this in your heart that if you want to honestly thin you her then make peace with it and go out there and do what you need to do. JMO Yes. You understand. This thread may be the single most obvious example of self-righteous, pat myself on the back cause I do it this way, I've ever seen on here. What arguement could anyone of you have ifit's being done legally?All of a sudden the guys who dont do it are the ethics police for the guys who do and vice versa? Unbelievable. Somewhere along the way I read the word selfish in regards to shooting a doe fawn, seriously? I hope not. Why bother to shoot that 1.5 or that 2.5 then. What, it's ok since they have had more life experience? We're talking about deer here. You wouldn't think the Bambi syndrome would be alive and well in hunters but here it is. Blast away, but all those who criticize the other side on this, no matter what side you're on, are wrong.

You grouse hunters better be aging your birds before you shoot them as well. Might be a young one in that group!

That little doe will require the same amount of food to sustain as an older doe will throughout the winter, and there's only so much to go around |

Maybe you need to open up the land to a youth hunt doe only the first couple weeks or for a season.
