I was abandoned as a baby and left out in the sticks. As luck would have it, I was placed in a ditch alongside a well used deer trail. I was found and taken in by an old doe that had lost her fawn. Yes, I was raised by deer. By the time I was 2 1/2, I was beside myself because I couldn't grow any horns (deer call 'em horns). Even though I could run faster, jump higher and hide better than the buds in my bachelor group, I couldn't fight. I was laughed at, made fun of and eventually ostracized by my peers. One night I slipped up and got caught in some old coiled up barbed wire near the edge of a field. I couldn't get free and was left to die. That's how deer are. After 3 days of struggling I gave up and laid down awaiting my demise. As luck would have it I was found by a gruff old hunter. I was near death and unconscious so it was an easy matter for him to cut me free and carry me back to his cabin. You know the rest, he raised me back to health, taught me how to speak and finally convinced me that I was human (that one took some time, I still have my doubts). Any way, after a few years he passed and I was on my own. Since I was 12 years old, old enough to get my hunting liscense, I have made it my mission to go out and exact my revenge on whitetail bucks. This has been going on for 40 years and I'm still not done. They should not have teased or made fun of me the way they did.

Raised on a tobacco and cattle farm in VERY rural NC. Went to college on a baseball scholarship......graduating in 1987. Spent a couple years in the finance (auto) industry and also worlked for a businessman from my hometown....and moved around the South a little. Spent 5+ yrs as a PGA Professional......being inducted into membership of the PGA in 1994. Moved a couple more times after getting onto the construction industry.....and finally moved "home" (within 40 miles) in 2000.
Hunting background was born on small game and dove hunting for several years.....then waterfowl....when I was training my lab (obtained her MH). Also owned a nice in/offshorefishing boat that was well used. Had I not moved inland from the coast...I'd still be chasing kings on the water and waterfowl in the tidal creeks.
Missed out on a lot of country things for several years.....but it put me in a position to be able to really enjoy the things I love, now.Bow hunting (deer and turkeys)has been a breath of fresh air.....and I'm glad I found it.

I am a graduate of the school of hard knocks. Most of those knocks were self inflicted.
My hunting career started when I was a kid in Connecticut. Bird and small game hunting with my dad. We did a lot of fishing as well. I took a 25 year lay off from hunting until 3 1/2 years ago when I started shooting a bow and bowhunting.
