Not much too it really ducsauce......Some buddies and I were near the Roseland area on the south side. It still had a strong population of Italians but that was changing fast. At one time it was like a little Italy. Anyway We were walking down the sidewalk and around the cornerand I walked straight into the pipe. I stayed conscious and I believe that saved my life. I think their plan was to knock me out cold but didn't quite work out that way for them.We fought like hell and gave our share back to them. When we got the chance we got the heck outa Dodge!....bleeding the whole time!

Might have...I don't know. I never went to the doctor...I told my parents I hit my head on an oven door at my buddies house making pizza....[&:]I guess it they bought it.

Good story BigJ71, there had to have been a ton of blood in your eye!! I have been cut over my eye a couple of times riding broncs and those cuts bleed like hell!!!!

Nov 23rd 1978 we rolled a car and I smashed the side of my face,broke the orbital off and logged it in behind my eye socket(my eye was kinda hanging out).....12" of 28 gauge wire and cosmedic(spl) surgery and some weight with screws pulled the side of my facebackout...

can we say out of body....yep a higher power was watching out for me.......NO JOKE.....
