Could his(your buddy Travis Boyd)eye situation not be as bad as Matts? Everyone is different as far as dominant eye! One thing for sure your not gonna shoot worse going to your dominant eye!

I really don't know Tim, but for $10 and never having to worry about closing an eye and building tension in the face, I'd try that blinder first.
The problem with moving to left handed, is that if your going to make the switch properly you probably won't fire an arrow for at least several weeks, and then after that blank bale for another several weeks without any aiming and shot execution happening at the same time until everything is carved into muscle memory. Most people don't have the self discipline to truly build a new shot execution into muscle memory without cheating and this can cause some VERY bad habits that can cause you to be much worse off than today. Unless someone has the commitment and self discipline to do this and a good coach that has experience and has been trained on how to guide someone through this transition I'd probably opt to try the blinder first.
Just my thoughts................

Matt how did you find out you were left eye dominant? I use the old finger trick taught to me by an old pro that shot for Jennings back in the day when I was a kid! Just curious cause you can tell how bad it is by using your fingers!

Taking both hands and overlapping them to form a "diamond" shape in between thumbs and index fingers. Sight something through that hole, closing one eye at a time to see the shift. I never calculated HOW much more dominant it is...how do you do that? Just by how much the object in the window shifts?

Wow, I a bit surprised that there are four pages to the thread and only two people voted. I voted to make the switch. It's a good time to try. But really give it some time and try to develope it. I advise to start out with a bit lighter bow then what you are used to though. My son made the switch going on three years now. It only took a few months to get to the point of where he was shooting righty (keep in mind that he was young though). Our problem was in identifying the correct eye dominance.

Thanks for the advise, and if I do it, I will be leaning toward a lighter setup. I'm currently looking at a 101st LH at 60#. I currently shoot 65# right handed...is 5# enough difference? (I was shooting 70lbs until we put new strings, and then backed to 65#).
