I really don't know Tim, but for $10 and never having to worry about closing an eye and building tension in the face, I'd try that blinder first.
The problem with moving to left handed, is that if your going to make the switch properly you probably won't fire an arrow for at least several weeks, and then after that blank bale for another several weeks without any aiming and shot execution happening at the same time until everything is carved into muscle memory. Most people don't have the self discipline to truly build a new shot execution into muscle memory without cheating and this can cause some VERY bad habits that can cause you to be much worse off than today. Unless someone has the commitment and self discipline to do this and a good coach that has experience and has been trained on how to guide someone through this transition I'd probably opt to try the blinder first.
