With all due respect, I believe that it's not really that hard to take apart, it was a simply mistake. I've talked to a other CJ owners of this sight and they have also mentioned how easy it is to forget to loosen the set screws before adjusting the micro-adjust knob. Really that's all I believe we did...simply forgot.
Not sure what you meant here. They are definitely micro-adjustable pins. The comp has micro adjust pins, gang elevation, windage, and 3rd axis. Design flawed a bit? I think so, but micro-adjust is micro-adjust imho.
Maybe I should have called first, but really, looking back, disassembling a sight generally isn't something I consider to be rocket science...evidentely it can be[8D]

They are some stand up guys, call them and next time don't take things apart that don't come apart until you know how. Many things require a special tool. I'm guessing this is the case here unless the guy you bought it off of did his own "handy mans corner"

They were never micro adjust anyways, your there now except, the price matched the site.

I've never heard of anyone having anything but good customer service with these guys, maybe it's changed with the rest. I mentioned a problem on another site before in passing and I had an offer from them to replace the part. Maybe you should try posting this on that other 'unfriendly" site. Who knows!

Thanks for the heads up anyways!

Bit of an update on the situation. I got around to playing with my sight tonight to really try and see what's wrong. What I found was that one row of the micro-adjust pins works fine (loosen the set screw, turn the knob, and the pins move up or down). The OTHER row, however, does not. I loosen the set screws, go to turn the knob, and the knob unthreads itself off the threaded rod. Here's the kicker though that made me realize that it's probably not the pins that are stripped. Once that knob unthreaded itself, I could spin the rod by hand and the pins would adjust up or down. So the pins and the rod seem to be working....so I got on the phone with CJ:
I spoke with a gentleman at Copper John (very nice, btw) who, after listening to my issue asked me to look for a set screw on the knob itself that was unthreading off the rod. I told him I couldn't see one, and he told me that on this model there is a set screw under the label which is under a piece of plastic. He told me I could do a couple of things. Wait until tomorrow and call and ask for two other guys who know more about his particular model and try to have them work me through it, or do (what he suggested) was the better idea, and that was to send it in. When I asked him how much I would be looking at for repairs, he asked when I purchased it, and I told him July (which is roughly the time frame). He said that was well within the warranty period (so I'm assuming what here for $$$?). Anyways, I bought the sight second hand, so I doubt the warranty will transfer especially since I didn't get any warranty paper work. So, my question to guys is...obviously if I'm sticking with this sight I NEED to have it fixed right, and that's going to involve them fixing it. I have a trophy ridge matrix I could throw on in the meantime to allow me to keep shooting, but I'm worried that I'll send it, and then get like a $100 bill for it, when I could have just purchased another sight. Thoughts?

I wouldn't worry. CJ will be more than fair with you. They did not get to be one of the leading companies in the industry by ripping people off.

They simply couldn't provide a quote at the time (understandable I suppose) and also stated it should be under warranty. IF it wasn't under warranty, and they never truly gave me a quote, theoretically it could cost anywhere from $5-$100...that's what worries me. I bet if I call and tell them to contact me if it will cost me over XXX amount of $, they would. They seem like good people.

Yeah I was thinking about how I worded that, and I didn't intend to come off saying that I was afraid of being ripped off

Matt honestly I am sure you could tell them if it's going to run over X amount of $$ to give you a call before doing the repair. I'm sure they'll work with you.

Ask them to re-break it and send it back to you if they ask for $100 to repair it. Im guessing worst case scenario, under $20. Their repair services aren't to make money IMO, it's more of a customer service thing.
