Default RE: String life?

ORIGINAL: mobow

Not too talk you out of Gibblet strings, but if you take care of the string w/ wax, and store the bow properly....and the string and cables are in good condition, no fraying or stretching......Yours are just fine. 1 year and 2000 shots is nothing for a quality string.
I know the string is just fine, but the serving on these things suck! The top cam serving on the cable has big gaps where i can see the bare string for about an inch and a half with only 8 strands in between that area. I'm sure it will not hurt my strings but I have seen this over and over with their servings. And if I want to have it reserved why not just pay $60 for a new set of strings and cables that i can get custom colors to. Plus I have already owned a set of Gibblet's strings and like mentioned the strings are the best i have used and customer service is awesome too!
