boy thats a tough one. id give it a long thought to take the new piece. but if your old pieces are producing, then id just stick with those

I believe this is your anwser. I am guessing the idea of you managing your herd at home was to increase the trophy potential of that ground. If the new piece has better potential, hunt it. I mean I have projects at work, but if someone offered me a better job, more money, you bet I would be gone.

Jeff, thats a tough call my friend. Isthe original propertyyouve been trying manage, the same one that your neighbors and their family or friends are possibly poaching on? If it is, I would feel it would be extremely difficult to get the end result you are trying to obtain with your ratio's if that is indeed the case, unless you are taking into consideration the poaching kills etc...

At the end of the day,whats more important and realistic to you? How many opportunities do you get to get 200 acres to hunt in your area? What are the chances of you losing the new property in the next year or 2? Would you be better served trying to manage your herd ratios onthe newproperty, basically starting over? I think only you can answer the bottom line. Good luck, thats a tough one.

i dont really know how much of an impact one person can have on a whole herd?(I guess that would depend on the # of doe tags you can get)I would go with the new land and start managing it.....or you could hunt your old land and new to keep each place "fresh"
