I prefer my deer to be standing on the ground while I'm standing in a treestand. I don't sit in a stand so all of my shots are while I'm standing.

I have yet to shoot a der from the ground with my bow, but I think that would be really cool. So I would have to say that ether sitting r standing in a tree stand. NOw if you were talking about using a gun, I have gotten all of my deer from the ground.

Depends. Being right handed, anything to my left, or slightly behind me to the left,I stay seated. It's comfortable. This my best, and most accurate shot, and what I plan for. Anything out in front of me, to the right, or behind to the right, I stand.
