I haven't used that specific rocket head, I have used the naildriver, which an awesome little head. I do like the solid ferrule, I do like the accuracy of the rocket heads. I just would like the point of the head to stick further in front of the blades, but most people report that head blasting through things. The blade sharpness on Rocket heads is generally poor IMO but easily remedied so no biggy. I'm sure many have used that specific head and can give you more. If they could just make the miniblaster with the pathfinder point in a solid ferrule, that would be the deal, but they don't.
One other little thing I would definitely check how the blades move. Sometimes the machining is such that the blades stick a little. Most just fall freely but if they stick you can just work them back and forth a bit till they work free.

I found the Rocket Steelheads noisy in flight, not the sharpest, and thought the threads were too short. I personally will never use them again ,but I do think they're tuff & penetrate excellent. There are many people on here that have had better luck than me with these heads.

The steelheads are excellent heads!
I took 3 deer with them this year, 2 were complete passthroughs.
the other would have been, but it was a bad angled shot.
I didn't find them to be noisey at all, and i used mine right out of the box, no sharpning.
I gauarntee you, you will like em.

The Rocket Steelheads are a excellent choice.
Blades may not be the sharpest, but they fly
like field points and are one of the top
penetrating BH's available. I have seen quite
a few deer(whitetails & mulies) taken with
the 100 gr. head. I am considering them myself
for my setup this fall.....tough decision
considering the success I've had with Wasp's
and Muzzy's. Just make sure your setup is
generating a sufficient amount of KE.
Good Luck

Two beards is right. you have to have enough kenetic energy to shoot mechanicals. but, it don't take much for the steelheads.
My splitfire 36 is only shootin 245 fps and I'm gettin only 50 ft lbs of K/E and that's plenty for those little steelheads.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

the steelhead 100 is a very good broadhead. it is accurate, strong and penetrates well. The blades could be sharper, but they are fairly easy to touch up. They also open quickly. The 125 grn version is the best mechanical head I have ever tested, it penetrates just a well and is even more durable.
