The Killing Field...It's a 50 acre field surrounded on 3 sides by woods and bedding areas...It received it's name back in the 70s...We have probably killed 200 deer in this field...
Whenever I take a guest that I really want to score, that's where we put them...
Then there is Deer Point...It's a 5 acre field that is surrounded by a swamp on 3 sides...The run of the swamp takes a U turn around that field and the deer cut through the field to feed and go from one area to another...Had a guest kill a 9 pointer with a 18 inch spread there this year...We've only owned this farm about 30 years and just really got it set up properly to hunt about 10 years ago...I'd guess about 50 deer have come from this stand...

I've taken both bucks in my avatar within 40 yds of where this photo was taken. Actually.....they were shot within 20 yds of one another.

I have to say that our favorite stand is an old wooden stand we have built in on the corner of this clear cut where it goes off into a swamp theres a bedding area about 100yrds in front of it a feild about 100yrds to the right across the swamp and then theres the clearcut right behind it. We'll have to replace it this year but so far about 10 deer have been taken off of it. About 4 bucks the biggest being a 140" 9point, then 8's and 6's i killed my first deer there too.
