Another Mathews fan here, the only thing I can complain about is the price, but that can be said of any top of the line bows. $800 plus for a bare bow is expensive now matter who you are.I have beenshooting the Drenalinfor this past year, but come march I will have the Drenalin LD.By the wayI too have owned the Switchback XT and its one sweet smooth shooter.

I like Mathews bows and know a couple people that work for Mathews buiding their bows in Sparta Wi. But when I purchase a bow, im interested more in the warranty. And to be truthful, Mathews warranty just doesnt compete with other manufacturers warranties. Heres the proof right from Steve Flock himself:

Tony,

Firstly I would like to thank you for your interest in Mathews; we
appreciate your business and support.

Mathews warranty is for the lifetime to the original owner purchased new
from a Mathews Retailer. All warranty parts ship the next day after we
are contacted from your Retailer, and we offer NDA and 2nd Day Air
expedited shipping with the difference in cost between ground and the
chosen shipping times charge to the consumer. Our warranty is less than
any other company
as we strive to build the highest quality bow on the
market.

Hope this helps answer your question my friend.

Take care,

Steve Flock

Sure they may strive to build the highest quality bow out there, but dont all manufactures strive for that. Come on . Im not bashing mathews in anyway, they do build some nice bows, but I like to know my bow is covered and covered well. Thats like buying a brand new car without a warranty, would you buy one knowing theres nothign to back it up if something goes wrong?

I've heard nothing but good things about their warranties. Couple of weeks ago a guy forgot to bolt down his press and it crashed and landed on his bow, damaging the limbs. He admitted what had happened, yet Mathews still took care of it free of charge. Search around, there's alot of stories proving their warranty is golden.

Maybe he meant

Our warranty is used less
Our warranty is no less

Definitely a typo on his part IMO.

I'm not a fanboy, but the way that email reads just doesn't make sense. In one sentencehe is saying the company warranty covers the original owner for the lifetime of the bow (which is what most manufacturers offer). Then in the next he is saying that the warranty is less than that of other manufacturers.[&:] How is one lifetime less than another?

I agree, he must have made a typo in his reply. It doesn't make sense otherwise.
