Are you concerned with which one will penetrate the dirt behind the animal deeper than the other or are you talkin bone. You won't go wrong with either and both should give you pass thru's...depending on your equipment which has more to do with the amount of penetration you'll get with either so ease your mind and pick one, you'll be fine either way all though I tend to favor the Muzzy line from 10 plus years of great results.

Hey, T-23 I found almost all braodheads will penetrate a deer,Elk etc... I think it is all about shot placement. But i would pick the rockets they have been proven to pass through a full grown hipo and that is not a lie. Hope the decision you make is good. GOOD LUCK HUNTING.

Rob gave you some good advice. It realy depends on if you want a mechanical or fixed blade head ( at least with those choices) I have found penetration of both heads to be very close, but for me I like a fixed blade head better, so the Muzzy would be my first choice. Both heads will do the job with a well tuned bow and good shot placement.

I think all the advise is on the money. I personally would go with the Muzzys out of the two choices. I did not like the Steelheads(although I do believe they penetrate&are deadly),I found them noisy. Had deer ducking arrows when I used them and tested for noise in the backyard shooting them past friends and vise versa. We all could hear a substantial buzzing sound during flight with the steelheads.I even contacted Rocket, but they just sent me a video & claimed it was just bad luck(?)!! Rocket sidewinders,RM Ti-100,First Cut 2b,RM Revolutions,Muzzys,...we shot all of these and heard no obvious noise. Just my $.02 . If you like expandables I have had good luck with Spitfire 100 3b,but I have also taken plenty with Muzzy 3b 100 .
