I shot all mine last year with a compound, 70lbs. I even used my three blade muzzy. The best suggestion I can make when it comes to turkey, get a mechanical head of about 2 inch cut diameter or more. That way you dont get as much penetration. Turkey are the only thing ill use mechanicals on.

This is the only pic I took last year. This guy, as well as all my other birds, were shot with a 70lb bow and a muzzy three blade. No problem finding them, and no problem when i cleaned them. This guy dropped on the spot.

Was that a head shot or just blood coming from the mouth? If a head shot....WOW! Congrats on the birds either way!

I shot this turkey with my bow maxed out at 71 lbs. I didn't findmy arrow, but the turkey dropped dead in it's tracks.

Its blood from his mouth. I shot him while he was faceing me. Put the arrow between the breasts. Acutally took most of his beard off with the shot.
