Master/Dominant Eye Issue
#11
I did the same thing when I bought my first bow off Ebay. It was right handed and I bought it because I throw right and figured I'd shoot righty. When I put money into my new bow, the Parker, I bought LH because I was a little wiser at the time. It feels more natural to shoot lefty, but I feel completely comfortable carrying either bow into the woods. Instead of buying a new RH bow, buy a LH and learn to shoot it. Being able to shoot either way and have both bows also helps. I have a couple stands that just offer a better shot with one bow than the other...match the bow and shooting side to the stand you intend use and you can't go wrong.

I was the same way.I shot a gun left handed since I began shooting, but never shot a bow LH until this season. Shooting is the only thing I do left handed. I never had a problem shooting right handed. The reason I started this way is because it was the easiest bow to find, and I didn't know if my left arm would be strong enought to pull 60+ lbs.
I finally gave in this year and couldn't be happier. I'm 1/1 in the field. My accuracy has improved a bit. When shooting right handed, I was able to keep consistent groups, but now that I'm shooting left handed I'm a bit better. It could just be a confidence thing. Knowing that I'm shooting with the correct eye leaves no doubt in my mind. I had no issues drawing just as much weight left handed as right handed. I think you would be doing your self a favor to try shooting left handed.

I am right eye dominant (right handed also), yet I have always shot my bows lefty. It's never been a problem for me. I gave right handed a try on a few occasions, but it just doesn't feel natural or even comfortable to me. Also I have been hunting my entire life and have yet to see anyone shooting with both eyes open. . .and I don't understand why anyone would, that makes no sense to me

Its almost a guarantee that you will be more accurate if you switch. Bite the bullet now and just do it. You won't regret it. If you decide not to....DON'T shoot with both eyes open, your dominant eye could wreak havoc at times. Good luck!
