This is a tough one. . . I will admit that when a newbie scores a nice buck and I haven't, it just doesn'tseem fair. . . but then again, nobody said that life is fair.Last year, I took a 13 year old family friend on his firstEVER deer hunt, and the kid took a really nice 8 pointer before sundown on day 1. The fact that theboyhad zero experience meant I picked our location, timing, did the calling and coached him 100% from start to finish. It gave methe same amount of joy as if I had taken the buck myself. And I now have a new hunting buddy for life!. .and that's the greatest feeling of all.

Let's see how smart you are, Fraley.

Let's say that Rob/PA; Matt/PA and Atlasmanwere hunting GregH's woods for their entire hunting lives......same access Greg has had. How many P&Y bucks do you think they'd have to their respective credits?

Now.....what's the difference.....besides "location"?
isnt half the battle actually ingetting the places to hunt in the first place?

If were looking at the maturity of bucks, how about comparing the number of mature deer these three hunters have compared to GregH? Age, as far as i know, isnt based on genetics or location.

I've shot 3.5 year olds for several years now, thing is, my 3.5 year olds score maybe 100" and in IL, WI, IA 3.5 year olds score 130's.
So would it be fair (since it appears you guys have the tapemeasure out sizingeachother's racks) that if a guy kills 100" deer consistently in central PA, SC, or any other P&Ydeprived state, then he is about the same caliber hunter that GregH, Fraley, Hunsucker, etc.are?

Wait a minute, those guys kill 150ish deer so they might be getting cheated in this deal.

Hunting is not Rocket Science. Some want you to think so
I've been saying this for a long time, Dan.....and that ruffles a lot of feathers in this forum.
