A guy that lives real close to my area found a set of sheds that have been scored twice at 201" and then 204" He's actually been watchign the buck around his yeard for 6 years. He called Cabelas and they told him that without seeing the antlers and if everything is as he describes they would give him $4000 for the pair. Wow. I have no idea what number he called or who he got ahold of, but the guy is pretty honest so I believe him.
They must have estimated the spread.

That's sad.

I got an email of that 9 year old that shot that 41 point in OK and supposedly Cabelas offered $150,000 for it. Is this true? If so, I find it wrong.
why? That kid couldget a free ride to college for shooting a deer?If college aint his cup of tea then he would have enough money to help him start off nicely in life. not very sad if you ask me... he could geta replica made for little to nothing out of that chunk of change and still enjoy the memory all the same.

A guy from our area was offered the chance to sell a buck he killed a few years ago during muzz. season here to the Cabelas store in Dundee. Part of the deal was that they would provide a replica for him and his name would be on a plaque on the mount. Man, I love my mounts, but if I was offered 50-150 grand, a replica mount, and my name on a plaque that every hunter walking in that door could see, I would have a hard time turning that down. Man 150 g's would pay everything off, put my daughter through college ( that starts next year) and most important help me retire earlier and HUNT EVEN MORE!!!! Now how is that all bad!I mean come on, it is being sold to the most prominent outdoor store in the great USA to be displayed and enjoyed forever, not to some black market dealer in the orient somewhere that will be grinding up the rack to sell some poor limp dude some high priced Viagra!!!
