I was thinking the same thing. Ive had deer throw arrows that were well lodged in them from just running. You all know the hit im talking about. A good shot that hits the humerous on the exit side and not pass throught. The deer runs and the arrow flops out and then the deer soon piles up. Its hard to believe this arrow would still be dangling after a while, unless it was shot with a fishing piont.

Another thing that strikes me odd is the arrow length. I have a 30 inch draw and I dont believe my arrows are that long. Not saying its not legit, just looks awful odd.

Other than that, what a heck of a deer.

This will show up as PETA fodder on the animal rights boards.

Saw this on the bowsite a couple weeks ago, some people did some funny things with their photoshop programs with it.

If it's real he the hunter better up their poundage or stop using fieldtips to hunt with.

Who cares, they'll get over it.

Looks like the head is in the shoulder blade, but did'nt penetrate it. Hopefully he's not feeling much pain, what a bruiser!

Do not know the exact location of the pic., really don't know much about it. Just thought I'd share it with all of you.
It is believable to me because of a deer my brother shot several years ago. He shot it in about in the same spot as this one except it was a couple inches higher. The buck was severely quartering away when he shot. This happened in the middle of October, and our neighbor shot it during the rifle season a full month later. The full arrow (aluminum) was still hanging out of the deer, tight to the body.
Penetration was only about 5 inches and was lodged going forward. I don't believe the arrow could be pulled out by the deer, the way it went in. If I didn't see it with my own eyes,I would not have believed it. I would have thought the very least that the arrow would have broke off.

Its hard to believe any good broad head would not penetrate any better. Ive seen mechanicals not penetrate worth a flip on hogs, but that is an entirely different animal. But like I said, im not disputing it, just looks odd.


Ive seen stranger things just this year, so I guess its not my place at all to question this pic.

Ifthat extra-long arrow with broadhead(?) broke the skin there would be some blood staining. I don't know..I'm not believing the pic. I reckon it's possible.

That is entirely possible. Deflection through brush etc. I was forwarded that email and I believe that that buck is in a high fence preserve.
