I believe its real......My nephew hit a doe fawn back in 2005 in the shoulder. We ended up getting a pic of it 2 weeks later on the trail cam with the arrow still in it. Looks like the exact same hit.

I'm not saying that its not possible, but i have to agree with GMMAT, i mean the deer might not be able to feel it since it is barely stuck, but i think with the deer going through the woods that the arrow would hang on a branch or something and pull out, without harming the deer.

I downloaded the photo and looked at it closer. Strange pixilation around the arrow. Take a look at the size of the neck compared to the back half of the deer. There is no hair missing by the arrow entry. No blood. no sign of razor cuts. The arrow seems out of proportion with the deer (arrow seems too big) The entry point is kinda high on the shoulder for the lack of penetration. the shoulder blade is much thinner that high up. Every deer that I shot always broke the arrow off.
