Lucky Buck?
Just got this e-mail pic. from my brother. This huge buck just missed being on somebody's wall, by an inch or two. The good thing is he's on his feet and hopefully still alive. Looks like the buck was severely angling away when he took the shot. The guy or gal muststill besick. I know it would haunt me for a long time, to have a buck of a lifetime give you a shot and blow it.
Anybody shooting arrows with orange fletching on? ![]() |
RE: Lucky Buck?
Wow, what a brute. I would be sick for weeks if I did that. Hopefully that arrow will work its way out and that buck will be running around next year too.
Great pic, thanks for sharing. |
RE: Lucky Buck?
That is a huge buck!
Unfortunately I am not sure if he'll make it through a tough winter. Although pics. can be very deceiving.. he is awfully thin for a deer who is a clear 4 1/2 or better buck. Where was the pic. taken? |
RE: Lucky Buck?
I have to ask....
I've seen this photo before. Does anyone really think something that was distressing a deer......as much as that BH must have been (or still is) wouldn't be yanked out by the deer? Wouldn't you THINK he'd have pulled that out.....LONG ago? I know we see some weird stuff.....but I was just wondering. Look how long the arrow is. There CAN'T be much of it inside the deer. |
RE: Lucky Buck?
That was my next thought Jeff...
:eek:photoshop anyone.. |
RE: Lucky Buck?
Good Grief!!!
Whoever shot it has to wondering what went wrong. It's hard to tell, but it looks like it didn't penetrate very far past the BH. Perhaps the BH failed or the aarow was deflected before it hit the deer? |
RE: Lucky Buck?
wow! thats a cool pic, is it me or is that arrow longer thanBigJ's draw?

RE: Lucky Buck?
Duke:
I'm not saying it IS....but I've had two instances where I didn't get pass-thrus.....(that I saw this happen) where the deer pulled the arrow out with its' mouth. As fast as they could they did this. I won't say it's photoshopped. I'll ask.....WHY didn't this deer pull this arrow? |
RE: Lucky Buck?
What a beautiful rack on that deer! No comment on the arrow.

RE: Lucky Buck?
